Privacy Policy
Website: https://voxe.app
Last updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Voxe (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use the Voxe website and application at voxe.app.
Voxe is a browser-based tool for creating invoices and proforma documents and generating PDFs. This policy is written with users in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the United Kingdom in mind, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar rules where they apply.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
The controller of personal data under GDPR (the organisation that decides why and how data is processed) is the operator of Voxe at voxe.app.
Contact: contact@voxe.app
For questions about this policy or your privacy rights, please contact us at the address above.
2. Summary
Invoice and document content (including names, addresses, line items, amounts, and other information you enter) is processed on your device when you use the core product. We do not require you to register to use the main features of Voxe.
We do not collect, store, or process your invoice or financial data on our servers for the purposes described in this policy as the core operation of the service. That information does not leave your browser in the sense that we do not receive it as a database of your business or personal records.
We use Umami Analytics (privacy-focused, cookie-free) and anonymous custom events when PDFs are generated or downloaded. Neither includes invoice content or personally identifiable information-see section 3.3.
Your device may use browser storage (for example local storage) so the app can work as you expect (drafts, preferences, and similar). That data stays on your device unless you clear it or use another browser or device.
Loading the site may involve third-party technical services (for example fonts). Those providers may process technical data (such as IP address and request metadata) under their policies when your browser requests their resources.
If anything in this policy is unclear, contact us at contact@voxe.app.
3. What data we collect
3.1 Data you enter in Voxe (invoice and document data)
The content you type or upload into Voxe (for example party names, addresses, descriptions, figures, and layout choices) is used inside your browser to show your document and to produce your PDF locally from your perspective as a user: we do not use that content to build a profile of you, and we do not store those fields on our systems as part of providing the described product experience.
No invoice data, names, addresses, or financial information is transmitted to us for storage or reuse in the way a typical “account-based” cloud document product would. If our infrastructure ever receives technical data (for example when your browser loads a page or a font file), that is limited to what is necessary to deliver the site and is described under Cookies and similar technologies and Third-party services below.
3.2 Data we do not intentionally collect for the product
We do not aim to collect, as part of Voxe’s core offering:
A customer database of your invoice contents on our servers
Marketing lists built from your invoice fields
Bank credentials or payment card data through Voxe’s invoice forms (unless you choose to type such details as plain text in a field; even then, we do not treat that as “our” dataset under section 3.1)
3.3 Analytics (Umami) and anonymous usage events
We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool, to understand how voxe.app is used and to improve the product.
Umami does not use cookies and does not collect any personally identifiable information.
Data collected may include: page views, visit duration, referrer, country, browser, and device type.
No data is shared with third parties.
Umami is GDPR compliant by design-no cookie banner is required for our cookie-free configuration.
We also track anonymous custom usage events to improve the product, specifically:
When a PDF invoice is generated or downloaded
When a PDF proforma is generated or downloaded
These events contain no personal data-only the document type (invoice or proforma). No names, addresses, amounts, line items, or any other invoice content is ever tracked or sent with these events.
Material changes to how we measure usage will be reflected in an updated version of this policy.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases, depending on the situation:
Situation | Legal basis |
|---|---|
Providing the website and app (technical delivery, security, abuse prevention at infrastructure level) | Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and where needed performance of a contract or steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b)) |
Strictly necessary storage on your device (see local storage below) | Legitimate interests and, where cookies qualify under ePrivacy, strictly necessary use |
Anonymous analytics (Umami) and custom usage events (section 3.3) | Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
Non-essential cookies outside this policy, if ever introduced | Consent (Article 6(1)(a)), where required |
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests where applicable, and you have other rights listed in section 9.
5. Cookies and similar technologies (including local storage)
5.1 Local storage on your device
Voxe uses browser local storage so the application can:
Remember display preferences (for example light or dark appearance and related theme choices)
Keep a working draft of your document so you do not lose progress
Store recent document history and related convenience flags only on your device, in line with how the app is built
This information is stored locally in your browser. It is not sent to us as a persistent “account record”. You can delete it at any time through your browser’s settings (clear site data / local storage for voxe.app). Doing so may reset drafts and on-device history.
5.2 Cookies
We do not use cookies for advertising or social tracking. Umami Analytics is used in a cookie-free way for site measurement (see section 3.3).
We do not set cookies for visitors using Voxe as described in this policy (the invoice generator and public pages on voxe.app). Those experiences use browser storage where needed (see section 5.1), not cookies.
Your hosting provider or CDN may still place technical or security cookies when pages are delivered; those are outside our application and are covered by the provider’s documentation.
For more detail, see Section 5 - Cookies and similar technologies above.
6. Third-party services
When you open voxe.app, your browser may load resources from providers other than us. Based on how the site is built, the following are relevant:
6.1 Fonts (Google Fonts)
The site loads web fonts (including Geist and related styles) from Google’s font services (for example fonts.googleapis.com and related Google infrastructure). When your browser requests those files, Google may process technical data such as your IP address and HTTP headers as a data processor or independent controller under Google’s terms. That processing is governed by Google’s privacy policy and settings.
If you want to limit such requests, you can use browser privacy extensions, disable remote fonts where your browser allows it, or use network controls; note that the layout or typography of the site may change.
6.2 Hosting and content delivery
The pages, scripts, and assets that make up Voxe are served from our hosting and distribution setup. The provider may process technical and security logs (for example IP address, timestamps, URLs, and error codes) under its role as a processor or under our instructions, to operate the service and protect against abuse.
We do not list every subprocessors’ name here; you may request more information about hosting categories by contacting contact@voxe.app.
6.3 No advertising networks
We do not integrate third-party advertising or behavioural marketing networks into the product as described in this policy.
7. International transfers
Some third parties (for example Google) may process data in countries outside the EEA. Where GDPR requires it, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (for example Standard Contractual Clauses) or other mechanisms recognised under EU/UK law. You can read more in the relevant third party’s documentation.
8. Retention
Invoice and document content that exists only in your browser is retained until you delete it or clear site data, or until your browser removes it according to its own rules.
Server-side technical logs (if any) are kept only as long as needed for security, debugging, and legal compliance, typically for short rolling periods, unless a longer period is required by law.
Analytics and anonymous event data (Umami and the custom events in section 3.3) are kept no longer than necessary for statistics and product improvement, in line with our Umami configuration and hosting practices.
9. Your rights (GDPR and similar laws)
Depending on where you live and subject to conditions in law, you may have the right to:
Access personal data we hold about you (if any)
Rectify inaccurate data
Erase data (“right to be forgotten”) where applicable
Restrict processing
Data portability where processing is based on contract or consent and is automated
Object to processing based on legitimate interests
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country
Because core document data is processed on your device, many requests can be fulfilled by you (for example by clearing local storage). For requests relating to data we hold as a controller (for example emails you send us, or server logs), contact contact@voxe.app.
10. Security
We design Voxe so that sensitive business content stays under your control on your device as described above. We also use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the website and any infrastructure we operate.
No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. You should protect your device and use an up-to-date browser.
11. Children
Voxe is not directed at children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing purposes. If you believe a child has provided information to us in a way that concerns you, contact contact@voxe.app.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. For material changes, we may provide additional notice on the site or by email if we have a lawful way to reach you.
